What we collect and why
- Enquiries and quote requests. Name, email, phone, postcode or area, and your project description. If you message us on WhatsApp, the conversation is also processed by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own terms. We use these to reply to you, prepare a quote and, if you instruct us, deliver the service. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and legitimate interests in running the practice.
- Quote tool answers. Project type, property type, size, heritage status and service level. These are stored with your enquiry so the quote we send matches what you asked for.
- Analytics. With your consent we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages help people. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or track individuals.
- Spam protection. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that form submissions come from people; it processes technical data about your browser.
Where your data goes
Enquiries are stored in our database hosted by Cloudflare, sent to us by email via Resend, and recorded in our customer relationship system, HubSpot. Each acts as a processor under contract. Some processors may transfer data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted after 24 months. Project records are kept for 6 years after completion for professional liability purposes.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, correction, deletion, or restriction of processing, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email hello@magnastudio.co.uk. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
